Our Services
Feeding Therapy
Services work on improving the quality of feeding experiences. This includes issues with picky eating, dysphagia (difficulty swallowing) or oral-motor difficulties.
school contracts
We offer contracts to local private and Montessori schools for speech and language services. This opportunity allows schools to support their diverse learners while fostering collaboration between professionals to enhance children’s development.
Speech Therapy
Services work on improving the quality and clarity of how children’s speech sounds to their communicative partners. Skills addressed in therapy could include articulation, stuttering, volume and/or intonation.
Language Therapy
Services work on improving children’s overall communication success. Skills addressed in therapy could include vocabulary, grammar, comprehension, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) and/or social skills.
screenings
We offer evidenced-based screenings at local daycares and schools to quickly determine if a child is at-risk for a speech or language disorder. These typically take 10-15 minutes and parents receive a detailed overview with recommendations for next steps upon completion.
Advocacy Services
Typically aimed towards caregivers, these services work on understanding children’s educational rights and services. This also includes special education advocacy for the child in school settings. We offer IEP review, recommendations, meeting attendance and coaching.
Where do I start & how does it work?
We make life easier by coming to you! Our speech therapists provide services in children’s natural environments (home, daycares, pre-schools) or virtually.
Consultation
Initial consultations are free and used to gather more information about parent’s concerns and answer any questions you may have. If you feel we may be a good fit for your family’s needs, we will provide intake forms and schedule your child’s evaluation.
Therapy
Therapy length and frequency recommendations are discussed at the follow-up conference. However, most children are seen 1-2x per week for 30-45 minute therapy sessions.
Evaluation
A standardized evaluation will be chosen and administered based on your child’s needs. Evaluations help identify areas of strength and weaknesses as well as identify if speech, language or feeding disorders are present. A virtual conference will follow the evaluation to review the written report, discuss results and provide recommendations.
Payment
We currently are in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield Networks P & S. We also accept private payments via cash, credit/debit, check or HSA funds. Upon request, we are able to provide documentation for families interested in seeking reimbursement from out-of-network insurance providers.
Meet the Owner
Megan Allen, Ed.S. CCC-SLP
Tiny Seeds Therapy LLC was founded by Megan in 2023. Megan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Speech & Hearing Sciences degree from The Ohio State University, a Master of Arts in Speech Language Pathology degree from Ohio University, and an Education Specialist degree in Administration & Leadership from Carson-Newman University.
Megan is originally from Columbus, Ohio, but has called Nashville, Tennessee home since 2013. She has a wide range of clinical experiences ranging from working in the hospital setting on an inpatient rehabilitation floor to working in the public schools. Although she has experience working with populations across the lifespan, the majority of Megan’s career has been focused on the pediatric population.
The past five years of Megan's career were marked by her role as a lead speech-language pathologist for Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools, where she successfully helped guide a team of over 100 therapists. It was during this time that she discovered a passion for supporting families in understanding their child's progress, capabilities, and educational rights. Now, Megan leads a team of four SLPs that are equally passionate about supporting children and their families in better communication.
Outside of work, Megan enjoys cooking, admiring her pollinator garden, and expanding her skill set, whether it's through sourdough baking or coding. Most nights, you can find her having dance parties with her three young daughters or playing outside with neighborhood kids.
