Frequently Asked Questions

Do you accept insurance?

=> At this time, Tiny Seeds Therapy currently accepts BCBS TN insurance plans (Network P & S). In addition, we are a vendor for Tennessee Early Intervention System (TEIS). For all other insurances, we are considered an out-of-network provider. For out-of-network clients, we will provide a Superbill as requested. A Superbill is a comprehensive invoice that includes details such as the therapy provider’s information, diagnosis codes, treatment codes, feeds and descriptions of the services rendered. This allows families to seek reimbursement for some or all of therapy costs (depending on your insurance provider). It is the family’s responsibility to confirm with their insurance provider if Superbills will be accepted.

What forms of payment are accepted?

=> We accept cash, check debit/credit cards and FSA/HSA cards.

How can I plan ahead for therapy costs?

=> In compliance with the No Surprises Act (P.L. 116-260), Tiny Seeds Therapy will provide a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) to all private pay clients. This serves as a best judgement of the estimated cost of care based on a client’s projected plan of care prior to initiation of services. Clients using insurance can inquire with BCBS on the cost of speech therapy (co-pays, # of visits covered per year, etc.). In addition, Tiny Seeds Therapy works with families to create a plan or payment schedule.

Is an evaluation required prior to services?

=> Yes, your child will need to participate in an initial assessment/evaluation in order to develop a treatment plan. However, if your child has a recent IEP or outside evaluation, we can review that and determine next steps.

My child receives speech and language therapy in the public schools, will you be working on the same skills?

=> The approach may vary. Our objectives and care plans are formulated in response to the assessment outcomes. Depending on the specific requirements of the child, certain skills might be more effectively addressed within the school environment, especially some social skills, as private therapy is typically one-on-one. Nonetheless, we are keen to establish a collaborative partnership with your child's school-based Speech-Language Pathologist, facilitating discussions on progress, treatment strategies, and more.
